University reveals major extension plans
De Montfort University in Leicester has revealed plans to build a major extension.A four-storey addition is proposed for the Hugh Aston Building which already has 177,249 sq ft of space.A planning application has been submitted to Leicester City Council and a final decision is expected to be made in the coming months.The Hugh Aston Building, which boarders Oxford Street and The Newarke, is occupied by the Directorate of Estates and Commercial Services, Directorate of Library and Learning Services, Directorate of Marketing and Communications, Directorate of Student and Academic Services, Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Finance, Information Technology and Media Services and the Strategic Planning Service
