Up to 120 Herefordshire homes near green light
An application proposing the construction of up to 120 homes in Herefordshire has been recommended for approval ahead of a planning committee meeting later this week.Gladman Developments Ltd is seeking outline permission to develop about 11.6 acres of agricultural grassland on the western edge of Bromyard. The submission sets out that a range of densities and house types would be provided, along with a 40 per cent rate of affordable housing.Herefordshire Council’s planning committee will consider the application on 25 October.A report for the committee said: “Subject to a well considered reserved matters application(s), it is reasonable to conclude that there would be no adverse environmental impact; or if any do arise, that they would be of such insufficient magnitude to outweigh the benefits of providing residential development, including affordable housing, in a sustainable location.”As such, the proposal is judged to be in accordance with the policies of the development plan and is therefore found to be representative of a sustainable form of development.”
