Up to 200 homes planned for historic market village
Taylor Wimpey has lodged plans for the construction of up to 200 homes in a historic West Midlands market village with the goal of creating a “beautiful place to live”.The housebuilder has brought forward outline proposals for land west of Warwick Road, Knowle.The site is formed of a collection of arable fields and paddocks along with the gardens to a former – and now demolished – large house.Lined up is a mix of dwellings types, sizes and tenure, with 40 per cent to be allocated as affordable housing.A design and access statement filed with Solihull Council said the scheme would “provide much-needed homes in a highly sustainable location, whilst forming a unique and beautiful place to live”.
