Views Sought On Strabane Sports Complex Project
Online consultation has been launched on redevelopment proposals for a sports complex in Strabane, Co Tyrone. The project aims to enhance the arena pitch, running track, jumping and throwing areas at Melvin Sports Complex. Initial improvements are likely to include the provision of spectator welfare facilities, spectator entrances to include turnstiles, provision of covered spectator seating, boundary fencing and dugouts, and floodlighting to the athletics track.Derry City and Strabane District Council is urging members of the local community to take part in the online surveys following a successful public event last month. Two open invitation online surveys related to this project are available here.The deadline for completed surveys is Monday 01 April. Otium Leisure Consultancy will also carry out an Economic Appraisal for the proposed redevelopment.
