Wainhomes to build 200 new homes in St Austell
Wainhomes has bought land for a major housing development in St Austell.The housing developer has paid £3.5million for the site at Higher Trewhiddle which was granted outline planning permission in 2017 for up to 460 homes.Outline planning permission across the entire site also includes plans for a hotel, restaurant and shops but Wainhomes has only purchased land which is earmarked for housing.The sale was completed in April and Wainhomes says it is planning to build the first phase of 200 homes and could start work on the site off the A390 next year.
