Walthamstow Mall plans make progress
Shopping centre owner Capital & Regional has secured planning permission for a multi-million pound development around its Walthamstow property, The Mall.The plans include an 86,000 sq ft extension to the east London shopping centre and up to 500 homes in a new tower block.Transport for London is committing £15m to upgrading Walthamstow Central Station, including a new second entrance within the extended Mall.The works are expected to start in 2020 although the money is not yet in place.
