Water retailer Business Stream secures £62 million contract to supply councils, schools, emergency services hospitals
Scottish water retailer Business Stream has been awarded a contract worth up to £62 million to supply public sector buildings in Yorkshire.The Edinburgh firm will provide water, waste and water efficiency services to organisations including councils, police and fire services, universities, a hospital and over a hundred schools.The four-year contract was awarded after a tendering process for the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO) and is one of the largest since the English retail water market was opened up in 2017. YPO was set up to deliver value for money by negotiating contracts jointly for 13 local authorities.
