Wates starts £1bn East London housing regeneration
Wates has started tower block demolition to pave the way for one of London’s biggest housing regeneration projects.The £1bn regeneration scheme for Havering Council in East London will deliver around 5,200 homes over the next 12 to 15 years.Demolition and civils specialist Kilnbridge Construction Services is clearing the Napier and New Plymouth House site in Rainham, which is the first of a dozen to be regenerated as part of a joint venture partnership between Havering Council and Wates Residential.Proposals for the site include 126 affordable homes and a further 71 homes for private sale.
