Whiteburn Projects confirmed as principal contractor at Caerlee Mill
Work on a £3.3 million residential project in Innerleithen is now under way after Whiteburn Projects were appointed as the principal contractor.The Caerlee Mill project is being delivered for Edinburgh-based property developers Whiteburn Group.The vision for the site, in the heart of this thriving Borders village, is to deliver a range of two, three and four bedroom houses and cottage flats, which are designed to reflect the spirit of the former mill site, as well as the heritage of the village structure.The on-site local team is led by project manager Charlie Bain, an experienced site manager with over 30 years of industry experience.Work is already progressing well and installation of the first timber frames for the new build properties is expected to begin from June this year.In conjunction with the launch of the new-build housing for sale, Whiteburn continues to explore economically-viable solutions for the B- listed Brodie’s Mill building which dates back to 1778, and are in discussions with potential end users.
