Winsford regeneration set to continue after land deal
The regeneration of Winsford is continuing after a deal was struck to transform vacant land.The plot is located on the junction of the A54 and New Road overlooking the River Weaver, which has been left empty for decades.Cheshire West and Chester Council and its partner Public Sector Plc have now agreed with the Lane End Group to work on the site.Proposed is the building of two drive-thru restaurants and modern residential accommodation for affordable rent or shared ownership. The scheme would have a promenade overlooking the waterfront and offer improved access along the river.The development is expected to be considered by planners in May 2019.
