Work officially starts at Thorpe Park Leeds development
A ten-screen Odeon cinema is set to be the anchor tenant of a new retail and leisure park development at Thorpe Park Leeds.Work has officially started at 1.65 million sq ft phase two development Thorpe Park Leeds after a special event to mark the commencement was hosted by developers Scarborough International Properties and construction firm GMI Construction. ODEON has secured a 44,000 sq ft unit for a ten-screen cinema which is to be located within the leisure cluster at Thorpe Park Leeds.Boots has also agreed to take a 15,000 sq ft store next to M&S Simply Food at Thorpe Park Leeds.The new lettings are part of phase two of Thorpe Park Leeds, which Scarborough is developing in partnership with Legal & General Capital, following investment company’s £162m funding arrangement last year.The park is due to open next autumn and Next, M&S Simply Food, TK Maxx and the Outfit are also taking major stores at the at the celebrated East Leeds scheme.
