Work set to start on Milton Keynes scheme

Work is set to start at a Milton Keynes development, which will provide almost 300 homes.L&Q Estates has exchanged contracts on another phase within the Western Expansion Area.The three parcels of land spread more than 16.7 acres have been sold to Crest Nicholson.A total of 297 properties comprising of two-to-four-bedroom homes, including 30 per cent affordable houses, will be built.Crest Nicholson will be the first to begin construction along the frontage to this newly constructed stretch of Barossa Way in Area 10 South.Adrian Clack, managing director at L&Q Estates, said: “This highlights L&Q Estates’ commitment to delivering infrastructure throughout the development enabling housebuilding to be delivered at pace.”We have been involved in this development for over 20 years and it has been great to watch it progress as we have been involved in investing in schools, parks, play areas and health facilities.”This latest stage of the site with new homes being created by Crest Nicholson will help to deliver much-needed homes in this part of Milton Keynes.”Nick Daruwalla, land director at Crest Nicholson Chiltern, added: “We are pleased to be working with L&Q Estates again on the latest phase at the Western Expansion Area, continuing our commitment to invest in Milton Keynes.”This next phase will enable us to deliver much-needed new homes, responding to local demand for high-quality properties in the area.”
