Work starts on first phase of housing scheme

Work has started on the construction of 200 homes as part of the first phase of a new East Yorkshire residential development.Barratt Homes Yorkshire East will build 200 homes at the Harrier Chase development as part of the first wave of building work at the site, located in the east of the town on the south side of the Hull to Selby railway track.Construction on the housing has now started following the completion of land raising and infrastructure work.As well as the housing, the £200m Brough South development will include a new primary school, healthcare facilities, supermarket and non-food shops, family restaurants and space for businesses to set up and grow.The Horncastle Group is bringing Brough South forward on behalf of the Brough South Consortium which is made up of the developer, local landowners, Alma Jordan (Builders) Ltd, Riplingham Estates and BAE Systems.
