Work starts on job-creating £30m development

Work has started a new £30m multi-purpose development in Nottingham which is expected to generate more than 350 new jobs.Property company AC Lloyd and Henry Davidson Developments (HDD) have begun work on the 20-acre site in Netherfield, with the first phase due to be completed in early 2020.The Teal Park scheme, based off the Colwick Loop Road, will feature a pub/restaurant, a 66-bedroom care home and retail units.It will also be home to a 53,000 sq ft trade park for 14 units and 141,000 sq ft of employment units.The first phase of work will include delivering the enabling and infrastructure works on the site, before construction begins on the trade and larger industrial units at the top of the site.The scheme will be delivered in phases over the next three years, with the next phase due to start in Q1 or Q2 2020.Reserved matters applications have been submitted for the various phases on the site, with planning permission now secured for a 66-bed care home.HDD will be responsible for delivering the project on behalf of AC Lloyd.
