Work starts on new affordable homes in Clydebank

Clydebank Housing Association has appointed Cruden Building to deliver a multi-million-pound affordable housing development on the site of the former St. Cuthbert’s Church in Clydebank to help address local housing needs.Enabling work to prepare the site has just completed and construction will start shortly on the £3.9 million development, which will see much-needed new affordable homes for rent being built on vacant land at Dalton Avenue in Clydebank.The new housing, which has been designed by architects Coltart Earley, will comprise 24 new apartments within two, three-storey blocks. It will feature four one-bedroomed apartments, fifteen two-bedroomed apartments, including two specifically adapted for wheelchair use, and five three-bedroomed apartments. The new development will also have communal gardens and a parking court and is due to be completed by summer 2022.
