Work underway on £20m Edge Lane scheme
Regeneration specialist Galliford Try Partnerships has started work on Liverpool Mutual Homes’ (LMH) £20m Edge Lane development.The £20m scheme, known as The Approach, involves the development 145 homes designed to help people onto the property ladder.The site will include 107 one-, two- and three-bed apartments with an ensuite in the master bedroom. A further 38 contemporary two- and three-bedroom houses will offer enclosed gardens and off-road parking.Construction on one of Liverpool’s main arterial routes into the city centre was officially launched by Councillor Lynnie Hinnigan, the deputy mayor of Liverpool and cabinet member for housing, together with Mark Kitts, assistant director for regeneration at Liverpool City Council.Jonathan Peasant, development director of Galliford Try Partnerships, also attended the event with LMH chief executive Steve Coffey and LMH development director Chris Bowen.It is anticipated that homes at The Approach will be available from 2019.
