Work underway on new units at Rochdale business park
Wilson Bowden Developments has joined forces with Cabot Properties to bring forward the next phase of development at a Rochdale business park.The speculative units on Kingsway Business Park represent the first collaboration between the parties.Main Contractor Glencar Construction has been appointed to build the industrial and warehouse project, featuring two units of 87,000 sq ft. and 116,500 sq ft. The units are set to be completed by the end of 2024.Henry Henson, commercial development manager at Wilson Bowden, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Cabot Properties in delivering further high-quality, Grade A speculative units at our flagship Kingsway Business Park development. The ongoing development rollout emphasizes the site’s unmatched location on the M62 and the robust occupier market.”Michael Williams, director at Cabot Properties, added: “We are very pleased to have closed this off-market development funding, partnering with Wilson Bowden Developments to deliver high quality industrial stock into the Greater Manchester region.”The units will be available for lease through B8 Real Estate, which advised Cabot Properties on the transaction.The Kingsway Partnership is a joint venture involving Wilson Bowden Developments, Rochdale Development Agency, Rochdale Borough Council, and Homes England. The park is already home to the likes of Asda, JD Sports, Amazon, Danish Crown, E-on UK and Dachser.
