Yarlington gets to build Bristol fashion
Group says new partnership is a significant milestone for its Next-Gen strategy.Yarlington Housing Group (YHG) will partner Bristol City Council on another major home building project.The council has selected YHG as its preferred partner to build homes on land in the Totterdown and Lockleaze areas of the city .The two sites come following YHG’s recent planning submission for a further new homes at Shirehampton on the city’s north-western outskirts.YHG has committed to delivering a minimum of 50% affordable housing across both sites and will directly reinvest any profit derived from its outright sale plots back into building more affordable homes.Last year, Bristol Mayor, Marvin Rees, announced the city council’s pledge to build 2,000 new homes a year by 2020, with 800 affordable homes, as part of its 2017-2020 Corporate Strategy.
