York Handmade Brick supplies West End development
The York Handmade Brick Company has supplied bricks for a new development in the heart of London’s West End.The Easingwold-based company has supplied thousands of specially-manufactured bricks for the development in Mount Row, Mayfair – opposite the iconic Connaught Hotel.The five-storey building, which is set to be completed next autumn, will comprise a new commercial art gallery and four luxury apartments.Martin Wells, director of Studio Mackereth, the building’s architect, described York Handmade’s contribution as “pivotal to the look of a very important new building in Old Mayfair”.The Mount Row project team also includes development manager Glebe, main contractor Forcia, and brickwork sub-contractor Macai Projects Ltd.
