Yorkshire vineyard to expand with new visitor centre
A successful vineyard and brewery based in Yorkshire has plans to create a new visitor centre to offer tours and tastings.Yorkshire Heart , a vineyard and brewery based in Nun Monkton near York, has agreed a funding deal with Barclays to finance the creation of a new visitor centre for the business.The drinks manufacturer, which was founded in 2000, has more than 35,000 vines and launched its first official wine in 2005.The business also started a brewery in 2011 which produces seven core beers and two new craft beers each month.Business directors Gillian and Chris Spakouskas anticipate the new visitor centre will increase the turnover and also help add to wedding trade.
