We can award grants to freelance Artists. We can distribute grants of between £500–£4000 directly to freelance artists/creative practitioners, across all participatory art-forms, to deliver artist-led youth arts activities. By artist led, we mean artists take the key lead in the design and delivery of collaborative projects. Organisations may not apply but can contribute in-kind support to the project.The Youth Arts Small Grants fund will support freelance artists to continue to deliver high-quality, much-needed participatory arts activity with young people to ensure that some of the most disadvantaged young people in Scotland access and participate in creative opportunities at a time when these are being halted or reduced. We want to continue to support freelance youth arts practitioners to develop their networks and practice, while being appropriately remunerated.We aim to reduce homelessness with young people by providing a range of interventions, including housing advice, conflict resolution, education in schools, group work and support for the individual young person.We are looking for a graffiti artist to lead a workshop with the service users to design and produce mural art on the service walls.This will be completed over 2 half day sessions and 1 full day to exhibit the piece.5.
