We can award grants to freelance Glasgow CAN members who are part of the PVG scheme and work with children or young people. We have a total budget of £20,000 to give out and can distribute grants of between £500–£2500 directly to freelance artists/creative practitioners, across all participatory art-forms, to deliver artist-led youth arts activities. By artist led, we mean artists take the key lead in the design and delivery of collaborative projects. Organisations may not apply but can contribute in-kind support to the project.The Youth Arts Small Grants will support our freelance members to continue to deliver high-quality, much-needed participatory arts activity with young people to ensure that some of the most disadvantaged young people in Glasgow can access and participate in creative opportunities at a time when these are being halted or reduced. We want to continue to support freelance youth arts practitioners to develop their networks and practice, while being appropriately remunerated.Projects should take place sometime between June 2021 and February 2022.
