Boulder and Fortis join forces

Boulder Developments have joined forces with the UK’s largest construction buying group, Fortis, who are a mixed Timber, Building and Lightside merchant purchasing group.
Fortis are also made up of independent builders’ merchants, and, by becoming a supplier, Boulder Developments’ subsidiary company, SuperFOIL Insulation, will also become part of a multi-foil market worth £1.5M.
To become a supplier, merchants need to fit into a strict admissions criterion, which makes Fortis an elite group to be part of. Applicants must already be trading with two existing merchants, who are part of the network, and these merchants must also be willing to sponsor the application. Two sponsors then submit the application for existing suppliers to consider.
Boulder Developments are a family owned manufacturing and distribution business, who are based in Lincoln and have brands such as SuperFOIL, Ventilation Megastore and Boulder Storage as part of their group.
William Brown, Managing Director of Boulder Developments said: “We’re extremely proud to have become a supplier to Fortis – it’s a hugely well-known and prestigious buying group in the construction industry, and passing the strict admission requirements felt like a huge achievement.
“One of the key visions of Fortis is to have suppliers which are all dedicated to working together as a team and committed to meeting common needs. This is one of the reasons why we were attracted to joining and it feels great to know where everyone had shared values and goals.
“We’re very much looking forward to being a part of Fortis’ great multi-foil market and are excited to see what opportunities this brings for us.”
Fortis have over 50 supplier companies, along with 380 branches across the UK, combined with annual revenues of £1.4Bn.
