Cardiff is set to benefit from the proposed construction of 307 homes in the city’s Capital Quarter by the contractor company Winvic, after the property development company Grainger acquired the land and £57M worth of funding for the project.
Going into further detail, the development which will contain the aforementioned 307 homes in the Capital Quarter will likewise possess various communal leisure features such as a rooftop lounge and terrace, with construction scheduled to be completed in midway through 2022.
The Chief Executive of Grainger, Helen Gordon stated: “We are pleased today to announce this £57M investment to deliver 307 new, high quality, purpose-built rental homes in Cardiff, supporting growth in the region, building on our existing portfolio in the South West and leveraging our operational platform.”
The Director Residential Capital Markets at IM Properties, Iain McArthur commented: “We are pleased to have secured a deal with Grainger. This scheme will set a new benchmark for a residential rental property in Cardiff and is the first of a number of high-quality PRS sites our in-house project team is delivering, working alongside our residential and strategic land operations to maximise our existing £1Bn portfolio.”
The Winvic Director of Multiroom, Mark Jones added: “Having previously worked with both developer IM Properties and Grainger plc, who are forward funding this development, we are delighted both firms have every confidence in Winvic to deliver this striking PRS project in Cardiff.
“With over 5,000 bedrooms completed and over 5,000 bedrooms currently under construction, our reputation is robust in this sector and our growing status is reflected in exciting contract wins like this.
