Care facility approved for construction in Bath

Dementia patients in Bath, Somerset, are set to benefit from the construction of a Hallmark care facility which has recently been granted approval by the local planning authority.
Going into more detail, construction of the care facility was proposed by the contractor company Savista Developments through assistance from the planning and development consultant Turley, with the site having been purchased by the renowned care home provider Hallmark who have appointed Savista Developments to carry out the construction process.
Once completed, the care facility will be able to accommodate 79 people and will be equipped to care for elderly residents, including those with dementia. The care home will also contain a café, a cinema, a hairdressers, a therapy room, a wellness suite, a roof garden, a library a wildlife refuge, a courtyard, and landscaped gardens.
Furthermore, the development is expected to create approximately 120 new jobs while construction is set to commence in April of this year, with completion not expected until the latter stages of 2021.
The Managing Director of Savista Developments and the Chair of Hallmark Care Homes, Avnish Goyal stated: “We are delighted to have secured planning permission for this wonderful facility that will be an asset to the community and local residents. The home will have a number of innovative ideas and new features that we are looking to showcase when it opens in late 2021.”
The Director of Turley, Phil Jones added: “We are delighted to be part of the team working on this fantastic project supporting Savista which will provide much needed high-quality care accommodation in Bath. Redeveloping the currently underutilised site for elderly and dementia residents will bring the site back into purposeful use and the proposals will deliver economic, social and wider environmental benefits for the community.”
