Property consultancy firm appoints former DSTL manager

Property and Infrastructure consultancy firm Pick Everard has appointed former DSTL and MOD worker Adrian Randall as a strategic consultant.

Former MOD strategic planning manager Adrian Randall is joining Pick Everard as a strategic consultant after his 18 years of Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) experience. Adrian will be focusing on advising on delivery strategy for major projects and capital investment programmes.

Prior to Adrian’s work for DSTL, he worked with the Ministry of Defence as a strategic planning manager developing outsourcing and infrastructure strategies. Adrian also led Dstl’s commercial operation and latterly Dstl’s latest £200m business rationalisation and investment programme – including Dstl’s facility management operation.

Adrian said: “I get real satisfaction seeing a project through from beginning to end so I’m excited to be continuing my career at Pick Everard. As well as setting out a new approach for delivering services, I’m hoping to use my experience to help shape and guide the business, while adding value to project delivery and reducing risk for our clients.”

“One of my proudest achievements to date is when I led the rationalisation of Dstl’s built environment and real estate, taking 16 sites down to four by delivering a £100m capital investment and business relocation programme. I’m looking forward to using my experience and proven track record of delivering complex and demanding outcomes to improve business efficiency and grow Pick Everard’s knowledge within the defence and science and technology sectors.”

Pick Everard has previously worked with the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, British Geological Survey, universities, and Public Health England. They have provided facilities for DNA analysis, radiochemistry, and microbiology.
