Over 500 homes planned for Hillingdon

The property development company, specialising in the development of brownfield site, Inland Homes has submitted a planning application to construction 514 homes in Hillingdon.

The Hillingdon Gardens development will include more than 500 homes, with 179 of them falling under the label of affordable housing, all contained within a mixed-used neighbourhood that is predominantly residential but contains some commercial developments.

The six acre site will include a variety of housing types such as one to three bedroom apartments and will even possess 1,250sq m of commercial space with pedestrianised areas and green spaces such as landscaped gardens and a diverse green quarter.

In order to establish this green space, in addition to an extensive green corridor which will hopefully promote greater biodiversity within Greater London, Inland Homes will be working alongside the London Wildlife Trust to design a ‘Nature Recovery Network’.

Submission of the planning application follows the holding of a public consultation event between Inland Homes, Hillingdon Borough Council, Oak Farm Residents’ Association, and Ickenham Residents’ Association on 25th July 2019.

The CEO of Inland Homes, Stephen Wicks stated: “This is an important brownfield regeneration project which will help create over 500 new homes, ensuring a positive contribution to housing needs in the London Borough of Hillingdon.

“The scheme will benefit the natural environment surrounding the site, creating an attractive landscape. Inland Homes has a strong record of securing planning permission and delivering complex brownfield sites and we look forward to achieving full planning permission.”

The new neighbourhood will be situated on the former site of the Master Brewer Hotel on Freezeland Way in Hillingdon, located between Ickenham and Uxbridge, and has a variety of transport links.

Some of said links include the M40 motorway, which is located just two miles away from the site, and the Hillingdon tube station which can transport commuters to London town within approximately 35 minutes.
