Saint-Gobain Launches Free Tools

Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland has released a free online ‘Self-Build Manager’ tool to help self-builders project manage the build process of their dream home.
Thanks to the Self-Build Manager, those building their own homes will be able to upload and securely share design plans, documents and images, as well as managing tasks and setting deadlines. The online tool can also be accessed via the Saint-Gobain Self-Build website, which contains a wide range of advice, insight and case studies from other self-builders.
Mike Chaldecott, CEO Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland, said: “Many people dream of building their own home – almost one in three according to recent research by the National Custom and Self Build Association and the Building Societies Association. The findings also reveal that reducing environmental impact is a key factor behind the ambition to self-build for a third of people and nearly 90% said they want to create an energy-efficient home that reduces running costs, is more comfortable and reduces carbon.
“Saint-Gobain already supports self-builders through its range of brands and solutions but our new Self-Build Manager is the perfect addition to our existing services which will help self-builders as they embark on the journey to constructing their dream home.”
