Work Underway on Manufacturing Facility

G F Tomlinson is progressing with the construction of a light manufacturing facility at Oakham Business Park in Mansfield.

The £10 million scheme will have a new single-storey facility and basement space for a UK leading multi-sector manufacturer based in the East Midlands. The 80,000 sq ft facility which is set for completion in early 2022 will comprise of a ground floor workshop and office space, including staff facilities, along with basement level storage.

The building will have composite insulation panels in the walls and roof, and adjacent will be an external service yard with two arctic lorry loading bays, as well as car parking spaces over three levels for 139 cars.

“This facility will provide sizable and contemporary manufacturing and office space and the new building has been designed for the future expansion of our client’s production capabilities.

“We are proud to be working with Jackson Design Associates and Webb Gray Architects again to deliver this impressive scheme.”

G F Tomlinson is working in partnership with project manager and principal designer Jackson Design Associates and Webb Gray Architects, with both firms the contractor has worked with previously on office and industrial projects in Mansfield and Lichfield.

G F Tomlinson will also be carrying out £3 million M&E works as part of the project.
