A defence authority has invited a tender for one Anti Sub-marine Warfare Tactical Trainer (ASWTT) simulator.
The proposed system will be a multiplatform simulator able to simulate very complex tactical scenarios oriented towards Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) missions.
The scope of work includes develop, supply, installation, integration and commissioning of new state of the art:
ASWTT simulation software
ASWTI equipment hardware
a relevant network
security appliances
It also includes:
construction of workstations or cubicle compositions and Multifunction Operator Console (MOC)
testing, debugging and commissioning of the overall ASWTT Simulator.
The software based ASWTT shall be used for the following:
to simulate complex tactical scenarios oriented towards ASW missions and impart training in surface, sub surface and air environment to the personnel
the simulator shall be used for basic, medium and advanced operator training as well as multiple operators who can interact in the same scenario simulating combat-like situations
the system will be a multiplatform simulator and will also be used for single platform or single environment training (such as ship, MPA, helicopter, submarine or surface/subsurface/ air environment training)
the single platforms for ship, MPA, helicopter and submarine can be involved in a common exercise such as played friendly and opposing forces or all friendly forces or can be used separately for specific crew training
the simulator shall be a generic type. However, crucial components (like SONAR, TACCO Weapon Launchers) are to replicate standard frigates as far as practicable.
