5. Description: Lot 1 – The Awarding Authority requires a battery system that must be composed of three independent and mechanically separated battery packs that can operate independently of each other or as a system. Each battery pack must be modular and be able to be used as a standalone system as well as the capability to be connected both in parallel and / or in series with the other battery packs. An appropriate configurable Battery Management System (BMS) to manage the systems in different configurations ( e.g. Parallel and / or Series) this must also provide cell balancing and protection to the cells. Full details ate stated in the ITT documents.
Lot 2 – The required battery system is intended to be used as a power supply as well as a load and is meant to assist in developing solutions for Electric Vehicles and Grid storage. High energy density solutions with appropriate BMS will be required. Full details ate stated in the ITT documents.
