Description
The biomass power plant KVV8 at Värtaverket, Stockholm, Sweden, receives biomass by train up to several times a day all days a week.
Each train set has 23 to 32 wagons and there are 2 or 3 containers with biomass on each wagon. Each container contain around 50 m3 of biofuel.
The unloading of the biomass is done by an unloading robot which empties each container on the train into a fuel pit.
This project aims to take representative samples of the biomass in each container before they are emptied within the fuel pit.
Preliminary time schedule:Installation completed and the sampling equipment ready for commissioning in mid-August 2019.
