an aluminium alloy hull structure, main deck and superstructure

The main duties and functions are to provide:
sea rescue operations for aircraft related incidents
a command post for co-ordinating sea rescue operations
an independent firefighting unit
a mini-medical treatment centre
a platform for helicopter winching operations
a diving platform for underwater search and rescue
accommodation for holding survivors and casualties in a major aircraft accident
