A defence authority has issued a tender for a compressor test bench set.
The compressor test bench set should come with complete testing facility including:
computerised control
monitoring
reporting provisions
It will be used for the testing of new as well as old compressors of various size and capacities used onboard ships.
It should be designed and constructed fulfilling the requirements of international standard.
You should clearly specify the safety rules to which the compressor test bench should conform.
The safety devices fitted should be mentioned separately and include technical details.
The ambient condition are:
temperature= 5 degree Celsius to 45 degree Celsius
relative humidity up to 98% (non-condensing)
The facility should be able to monitor data output in both analogue and digital format.
Arrangements for the evaluation and comparison of the output data with original equipment manufacturer specification should be incorporated in the computer system with provision of producing system generated report.
All type of compressor including motor driven and belt driven compressors need to be tested.
Arrangements should be made to test the compressor with or without a motor.
In the absence of motor, the compressor should be driven by variable frequency drive.
