The objective of this Framework is to establish preferred rates, terms & conditions, procedures and requirements for the hire of crawler cranes.
The supply chain will be required to:
Supply, install, commission, hire, operate and maintain crawler cranes across a number of sites along the S1 and S2 route. Between Autumn 2021 to winter 2026.
Part of the delivery requirements will be to engage in provision of early technical support to enable the contractor to develop suitable foundation arrangements at each of the locations, this will also include engagement with third parties during the development of our detailed requirements.
Specific details of the cranes specifically required are currently being developed by the construction delivery teams. Early supplier input will also be necessary here.
It is envisaged that cranes will either be new or no more than 3 years old at the time of hire and compliant with HS2 and UK emissions standards for construction site plant, which will be detailed in the ITT.

On selection, shortlisted supplier’s will be issued with a formal Invitation to Tender (ITT) to demonstrate their ability to work with these values and behaviours in mind, whilst proving their demonstration of capabilities and competence
