Description: The mandate of the European Spallation Source ERICrnis to design, plan, construct, commission, operate andrndecommission the European Spallation Source (ESS).rnIt is located in Lund, Sweden, co-hosted by Swedenrnand Denmark and has more than 17 PartnerrnCountries, including the UK. The UK contribution isrncoordinated by STFC. The facility will deliver its firstrnneutrons in 2019 and is expected to be fullyrnoperational by 2025. The European Spallation Sourcern(ESS) will be one of the largest infrastructures inrnEurope and will be used for neutron production forrnmaterials research. It will use a long pulsedrnsuperconducting linac and accelerate a 62.5 mArnproton beam current to the energy of 2000 MeV. Peakrnbeam power to the target will be 125 MW, 7 timesrnmore than the highest power existing facility.rnSTFC are providing a number of goods and servicesrnon behalf of the ESS. . This tender is for componentsrnof the RF distribution system (RFDS) for the Spoke,rnMedium beta elliptical and High beta elliptical cavities.rnThe supply shall comprise the components of thernRFDS. The number of WR1150 circulators and loadsrnrequired for MB is confirmed at 36, the number for HBrnis currently being reviewed. The supplier shouldrntherefore give costs for the range 36 to 120rncirculators and loads to be supplied. The actualrnnumber required will be known before Contractrnsignature. Note that the MB and HB circulators andrnloads are the same.
