The Adult Skills and Learning service encompasses both adult education and family learning and offers courses for adults and family groups at many community locations across the city and the Adult Education College on the Specified Location. The awarding authority as an employer and landlord has legal duties that must be complied with, to ensure the health & safety of its employees and those that are affected by its day to day activities. Every employee has a responsibility in law for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. These duties and responsibilities are recognised by the awarding authority, who have agreed and set out policies and procedures to ensure that health & safety is considered in the management of all its services. Adult Education College are now inviting quotes to replace the existing evacuation chairs with the new ones to meet organisational objectives. The Awarding Authority wishes to ensure that its procurement opportunities are open to small and micro local enterprises and voluntary and community sector organisations as it appreciates the very important role they play in the local economy. Quotations from these organisations are particularly welcomed.
