Description: Our work in the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing sector, and in particular aerospace, is highlighted through our International Centre of Excellence for Aerospace Training (ICAT) based in the heart of specified location. We have strategic partnerships and relationships with employers across South Wales and beyond and are engaged with industry at an operational and strategic level.
Flight Systems Training Equipment would support ICAT in its transition from predominantly Aeronautical Engineering to Aviation, this would be the first facility in Wales to offer the full range of Aviation courses supporting our local Airport at Cardiff and providing our learners with the skills and knowledge they need to work in a worldwide industry.
The awarding authority has a requirement to acquire and operate a Flight Systems training model to be used in support of aviation training and related courses run.
