4. Description: The Awarding Authority is seeking to establish a Framework Contract for Food and General Provisions. The existing NEPO Framework provides a compliant solution for the provision and distribution of food to Schools and other Public-Sector Catering establishments and is split into 4 Lots as follows: Lot 1 – General Provisions & Alcohol; Lot 2 – Frozen Food; Lot 3 – Meat, Sausage & Poultry and Lot 4 – Fruit, Vegetables, Bread & Eggs. It is envisaged that the same requirements will be covered in the renewal process, however there is also an opportunity to cover additional requirements and a potential Lot for speciality foods and deli items to incorporate local and regional produce will be considered. The Awarding Authority is procuring this Solution on behalf of its 12-member authorities in the North East. As part of our Market Engagement the Awarding Authority would like to hear from suppliers.
