A defence authority has invited a tender for a Fourier-tranform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer.
A Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is a technique used to obtain an infrared spectrum absorption or emission of a solid, liquid or gas.
A FTIR spectrometer simultaneously collects high resolution spectral data over a wide spectral range. Attenuated total reflection (ATR) is one necessary part of the FTIR spectrophotometer to measure surface properties of solid or thin film samples rather than their build properties. Generally, ATR has a penetration depth of 1 to 2 micrometers depending on sample condition.
