Upgraded National Geospatial Database
The Government has developed a draft National Spatial Plan (NSP) to guide national physical development for the next twenty years. It involves the use of spatial data to inform where scarce resource are best channeled.
The NSP is accompanied by the NSPIT platform, which is a tool to store and view spatial data with the capacity to carry out basic spatial analytical functions.
The purpose of this contract is to create a multi-user relational geospatial repository with a catalogue of datasets of both vector, raster, and tabular data models, which supports national development.
This will allow development planning to be carried out using geospatial technologies as a decision support tool with the use of spatial data which meet or exceed international geospatial standards.
