A defence authority has issued a tender for 2 sets of a gun intercom system.
The system will be used for internal communication amongst the gun crew on board a naval ship.
The items should:
be made to internationally recognised standards, which should be clearly specified
be able to operate in a harsh marine environment
allow users to perform zone-wise and individual communication without interruption
The intercom main unit including power amplifier should have:
a power output of 250 watt or more
ingress protection of 32 or better
Horn type loud speakers will be exposed to rough sea weather and must be able to sustain such weather. Necessary matching transformer will be provided for volume control facility.
The horn type loud speaker should be:
10 to 15 watts
have a ingress protection of 65 or better
The box type loud speaker should have:
power output
ingress protection of 32 or better
The headset with a boom microphone (PTT) including audio station should have ingress protection of 54 or better.
The wall mounted PTT microphone including audio station should:
be hand held
have an ingress protection of 65 or better
have a omnidirectional microphone with a press to talk switch and include 10 metres of cable
