AMRC Northwest interim facility in Preston.
The awarding authority wishes to invite tenders for laser welding equipment on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, North West group based in Preston, Lancashire.
Scope of Requirement:
The objective is to procure a laser welding system suitable for the welding copper and aluminium components in battery modules for automotive, aerospace and domestic energy storage applications. The system will be installed in the AMRC Northwest interim facility in Preston, before being transferred into a specific battery development centre in Samlesbury.
