A defence authority has issued a tender for 800 hazardous duty life jackets.
The life jackets will:
be issued to personnel who’s work puts them at risk of the weather on ships and in boats
be used by personnel working in hazardous situations and should automatically inflate on immersion into water
You must be able to supply life jackets that:
are of type MK3
are valise, the life jacket should be contained in a blue halter-type valise
have a buoyancy of 192N
are navy blue, stole-yellow/orange in colour
have a stole made of best quality highly durable proofed synthetic fabric
stole joining and sewing are to be of best quality
are approximately 1.5 kg in weight
have a gas charge of 40 grams co2
where the gas is in contained in a replaceable cylinder
have an automatic operating head
have a beaded operating handle
have a oral inflation tube
have a hood with transparent visor
have a lj2 lamp assembly
have a life line and toggle
come with a waist belt with buckle
come with a whistle
have reflective patches
have hood securing patches
are made of polyamide fabric coated with polyurethane on the inner side
come with a test certificate
