Ukraine health ministry considers foreign suppliers of linear accelerators.
In 2022, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine plans to upgrade the material and technical base and technical re-equipment of health care facilities at the expense of funds allocated from the state budget and loans from foreign countries, foreign financial institutions and international financial organizations for implementing investment projects. Among other things, it is planned to purchase medical linear accelerators.
They are currently analysing the potential opportunity for global producers to participate in the public procurement procedure in Ukraine. The project, implemented by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine together with the State Enterprise “Procurement of Ukraine” and with the involvement of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, is the first such initiative in the field of healthcare, so it needs further study. The project aims to purchase modern linear accelerators for the needs of hospitals on the most favourable terms of long-term lending. This is to expand patients’ access to modern and effective treatment while taking advantage of competitive public procurement.
