The awarding authority are required to undertake an employee screening service on all employees working under the Joint Venture on the authority. Currently the number of employees stands at around 150, however this is set to increase during the build phase of the project. There is also the potential the chosen supplier will be required to vet the awarding authority supply chain. These checks will include identity, right to work, criminal record and previous employment checks, however, the awarding authority will determine the level of check each employee will be required to undertake. The provider will work closely with the awarding authority railways to design and implement an innovative screening solution which requires minimal the awarding authority Railways administration while allowing visibility of screening status and service provider performance at all times.
