4. Description: County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to bring in-house a new automated Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionisation Time of Flight (MALDI-TOF) Analyser including the provision of maintenance via a reagent rental contract basis, cost per test over a 7 year term with the option to extend the contract for a further 3 x 12 months.
Companies are required to provide an automated MALDI-TOF platform that will facilitate the rapid and accurate identification of pathogenic bacteria and fungi. The analyser will be reliable and have excellent and comprehensive technical support and low downtime. The system will have a defined footprint, high ease of use and will be able to process a large number of isolates within the working day.
The system required will provide identification of isolates and markers only.
County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust currently test for approximately 4580 isolates per month, 55,000 isolates per year.
This tender is not for automated sensitivity testing which should not be included and will not at this time be supported.
