A new Bike Hire scheme for the city will ensure that Awarding Authority makes a visible commitment to promoting sustainable travel and is consistent with this aspiration. There are also potential benefits to be derived for leisure and tourism and by promoting Cardiff as a destination, which helps the city to continue to grow its economic prosperity.
The awarding authority is seeking to set-up a public bike share scheme within Specified Location. The scheme will comprise circa 50 Hire points at strategic locations across the Authority and provide a minimum of 500 bikes at these various locations.
