2.2 Description of the goods or services required: The wide ranging field of technology the School of Engineering and Built Environment covers, demands the state of the art laboratories, workshops and hardware to support the delivery of high quality teaching, and to align with GCU 2020 Vision and Strategy for Learning.The procurement of replacement laboratory instruments is to achieve the following objectives:-• Create smart teaching stations across the laboratories to support teaching in this strategically important laboratory teaching space.• To upgrade experimenter kits that reflects industry direction of travel and improves professional employment amongst engineering graduates.• Complements and supports the School’s developments in creating a virtual laboratory environment and to support the ongoing initiatives in e-learning and distance learning.• The equipment should provide a unified and common user interface and experience that is compatible with the equipment already installed in the laboratory facility. Use of the equipment in an education and training setting should not require amendments to educational and training material.NOTE: The buyer is using PCS-Tender to carry out this procurement process.
