The Awarding Authority is in need of an easy to use software for managing its Intellectual property and commercialisation activities.
The system needs to be able to log, maintain and manage data relating to intellectual property by capturing ideas from initial disclosure through to logging agreements, tracking licensing contracts and setting alarm alerts for royalty payments. The database should be able to capture all forms of IP and set timelines and alarms for pivotal dates that happen in the life of an application for protection. These features will allow for easy use and searching of our portfolio amongst the Awarding Authority Staff and help them to forecast expenditure for milestones.
The Awarding Authority should be able to upload the documents associated with its portfolio onto the system. This would include; invoices, specifications , agreements, assessments, awards and commercialisation summaries. Lastly, once the database has been populated, we should be able to make detailed reports on progress and finance which could then be exported to Excel.
